Paulinian Boxer secures championship belt at the PBF bantamweight title via second-round TKO

In an impressive fashion, first year criminology student at St. Paul University Surigao, Kier Clenton Espere is the new bantamweight champion of the Interim Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) via decisive technical knockout in just two rounds of the match against opponent, Ian Donaire. This happened last friday, December 29, 2023 at the SM Seaside City Cebu Skyhall.

The thrilling match was part of the “Prime Fight 3” fight card of the said event.

In an interview with RTV Surigao when asked what is next for him, Espere rests his boxing career at the hands of his coach, Ariel Lodovice.

“Sila ray ako agdon kung unsa ra na promotion”, says Espere.

Notably, coach Ariel Lodovice, also known as coach “Yeng”, says that Espere’s win came as a surprise for them.

“Ang amo lam is makuha namo ang kadaugan. Actually, wala gyud mi nag expect nga mudaug mi ani nga event kay sa Cebu tapos promotion pud sa kalaban,” says coach Ariel.
