GRADE SCHOOL UNIT CELEBRATES ANNUAL FAMILY DAY!

The Grade School Unit of St. Paul University Surigao Basic Education Department marked another successful celebration of its Annual Family Day on March 1, 2025, at the SPUS New Gymnasium. With the theme “Rooted in Faith, United in love: Celebrating Family as Stewards of Grace”, the event brought together pupils, parents, and faculty members in a day filled with fun, fellowship, and family bonding.

The celebration commenced with a Thanksgiving Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Arnold Tan, DCS, University Chaplain, emphasizing the importance of gratitude and unity within families.

Following the Mass, Mrs. Roxanne Go, PHI Unit President of the Grade School, officially opened the event with her welcome remarks, encouraging families to cherish moments of togetherness.

A special message was also delivered by Sr. Emelita Alvarez, SPC, Basic Education Principal, who highlighted the significance of fostering strong family values and relationships.

To energize the attendees, a Zumba session was held, where families danced together in a lively and engaging workout. The celebration continued with a series of fun games that brought out the spirit of teamwork and friendly competition among parents and students. The much-awaited Family Stars segment showcased talents from different families, adding entertainment and excitement to the event.

The celebration concluded with a family salu-salo in the respective grade school classrooms, where families shared meals and cherished quality time together.

The Annual Family Day 2025 was a proof of SPUS’s strong sense of unity and love among its students and their families, making it a truly memorable occasion for every member of the Paulinian community.
