On November 5, 2024, St. Paul University Surigao hosted a students’ forum on educational reforms, organized and facilitated by the EduAKsyon Partylist, gathering college students at the SPUS New Gymnasium, Basic Education Campus. Held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NN, the event focused on key initiatives aimed at transforming the Philippine education system, with discussions on internationalization and academic reforms.
Distinguished speakers, including Atty. Kristjan Vicente Gargantiel, former CHED Commissioner Dr. Aldrin Arenas Darilag, and Hon. Michael Alexander Ang, provided insights on building a more inclusive and globally competitive educational system that respects the Philippines’ linguistic and cultural heritage.
“We will ensure that all educators, faculty, and students will be included, and no one will be left behind,” said Dr. Darilag, emphasizing EduAKsyon’s dedication to equitable reform.
The students’ forum not only highlighted EduAKsyon’s ongoing efforts toward equitable change but also served as an interactive platform for students to raise questions and share their perspectives on current issues involving educational policies.
